How it all began
My path to the wine world didn’t follow a traditional route. I originally trained in dentistry, but my curiosity for wine kept growing. I started attending wine fairs, tastings, and cellar visits. Then I took it further by co-founding Cegos por Provas, a community dedicated to blind tasting. Over time, I began organizing major events, visiting producers, and judging wine competitions across the country. Eventually, I became a certified wine educator and a small-scale producer myself.
Why WSET?
I believe WSET offers one of the most structured, clear, and effective ways to learn about wine. The Systematic Approach to Tasting changed the way I experienced wine, and helped me translate sensory impressions into words. It’s a powerful tool that I now use to guide others in building their own confidence and tasting skills.
Passion and specialism
My greatest passion is blind tasting; learning to interpret what’s in the glass without relying on labels or reputations. It’s a challenge that keeps me curious and humble. I also love teaching food and wine pairing, helping students understand how flavors interact, and how to bring out the best in both the wine and the dish. I’ve led more than 30 thematic tasting events, all focused on sharing that joy of discovery.
