Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
Knowledge equivalent to WSET Level 1 is recommended but not mandatory.
To participate in tastings of alcoholic beverages, you must be of legal drinking age; this does not affect the qualification.

Course Materials

You will receive books. During the course, we will provide you with wines to taste.

Exams & certification

At the end of your course you will do an exam. Once passed, you will receive the officials WSET certification from London and a pin.

Study time

For WSET Level 2, we recommend approximately 6 hours of self-study before the course begins. During the course itself, there are around 4 hours of guided study time scheduled.

Can I take specialisation courses as well?

Yes. Specialisation courses are designed to complement WSET studies and deepen practical knowledge. You can enhance your experience by adding a Highlights of Portugal course for a regional introduction, or join the Wine and Food Lunch to apply food and wine pairing principles in practice.

Is this course suitable for professionals working with wine?

Yes. WSET Level 2 is ideal for professionals who already work with wine and want to deepen their understanding of grape varieties, regions, styles, and quality factors.

Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course. When you want to participate in the tasting of alcoholic beverages, you must have reached the minimum age for drinking alcohol. However, if this is not an obstacle to obtain the qualification in itself.
