The study materials for Level 1 and Level 2 Qualifications in Wines are sent to the the address in mainland Portugal. This is the shipping adress that you as student have put on the registration form. You receive the books 14 working days before the start of the course.
If the materials are returned due to non-receipt at the indicated address, additional shipping costs are charged.
For students outside Continental Portugal the cost of the materials delivery are indicated on a case by cases basis.
Plansel International Wine school reserves the right to postpone or cancel a course at least 10 days prior to the course start date if the minimum amount of students is not met. Another reason could be due to exceptional circumstances. If the course is postponed, Plansel International Wine school will inform you about the new dates.
In the event of cancellation, the candidate will receive a full refund of the registration fee. If the study materials are returned to Plansel International Wine school or they will receive a refund of the registration fee minus the value of the study materials if you keep the books.
-In case of cancellation by the student before the registration deadline
The student must send an email to wine-school@plansel.com informing of intention of cancellation. Plansel International Wine school will confirm receipt of the request within 2 business days.

Without confirmation of acceptance of Plansel International Wine school there will be no right to a refund. The amount will be deducted with an administrative fee being the value of the study materials and respective shipping costs if these have already been sent.
If you wish to reschedule the same course to another date no costs are involved.
The registration can also be transferred to another student,.
2. In case of cancellation by the student after the registration deadline
The student can no longer request cancellation or a refund.If the cancellation is due to circumstances such as illness, accident, change of residence or pregnancy, after the deadline of the exam the same course can be rescheduled with a fee of 50% to another date or place.
The registration can also be transferred to another student, as long as you send this request by email (wine-school@plansel.com) before the registration deadline, Plansel International Wine school then will confirm the new registration registration as soon as the new registration form from the student is received.
In the event that
study materials have not yet been sent, Plansel International Wine school will send them to the new student. When the study materials have already been sent to the student that initially signed up, it is the responsibility of the previous student to get them to the new student.

Yes! Plansel International Wine School is the only WSET Provider in Portgal that is eligible to teach anywhere in Portugal. Next to that, we often work together wine wineries and renomated restaurants for our gastronomy courses and wine-food pairing and tasting events.
This qualification has a minimum requirement of six hours of study time, in a classroom or online, with a WSET course provider. This time is including the time for your exam.
This qualification has a minimum requirement of 28 hours* of study time. It can be that you need more hours to complete the course and study the material. The total time can be devided as follows:
• 16 hours of delivery time with a WSET course provider (classroom or online)
• 11 hours of personal study and revision
• A 1-hour examination
The WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is assessed by a closed-book examination. This consists of 30 multiple choice questions, to be completed in 45 minutes. All examination questions are based on the published learning outcomes and the recommended study materials contain the information required to answer these questions.
The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is assessed by a closed-book examination. This consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, to be completed in 60 minutes. All examination questions are based on the published learning outcomes, and the recommended study materials (Wines: Looking Behind the Label) that contain the information required to answer these questions.
For the WSET Level 1 award in wines, you are required to pass with a minimum score of 70 per cent at your exam.
For the WSET Level 2 award in wines, there's a distinction in how high your score is. This will be mentioned on your exam:
You will only pass with a minimum mark of 55 per cent.
Mark of 85% and above Pass with distinction
Mark of between 70% and 84% Pass with merit
Mark of between 55% and 69% Pass
Mark of between 45% and 54% Fail
Mark of 44% and below Fail unclassified
For both WSET level 1 award in wines and level 2, it will take approximately eight weeks after the exam for your results to come in. The school or the teacher will contact you personally with the results.
Certificates and pins will follow by mail once we receive these from the WSET awarding body, which is generally around six weeks after your results.
On successful completion of the examination you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo which has a global recognition. WSET is officially recognized in more than 70 countries around the world.
