De Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) is an awarding body devoted to the development and delivery of qualifications and courses in wines and spirits. With their SAT system, they created an international wine language used around the world by wine professionals to describe wine and draw a conclusion about its quality.
WSET 3 is also considered the minimum standard for a job in the international wine industry in a number of countries

Entry requirements for your WSET Level 3 in Portugal
The minimum standard to apply for Level 3 is WSET Level 2 or a sommelier diploma.
WSET Level 3 is therefore not a sommelier course but provides an intensive , detailed wine knowledge that will allow you to carry out the profession of sommelier even better. The WSET 3 diploma also provides many other opportunities to work as a wine professional in the wine industry.
After finishing your WSET level 3 certification
After you have completed your WSET level 3 in Portugal, you can continue your wine-educational journey with a level 4 diploma in Wine
